Postby danielvm on Sat Mar 15, 2008 7:47 pm

Hi everyone, i'm newbie in this forum and EnGarde in general, i would like to know if there is a way to create some
rules that could be appliyed at some times, in other words, suppose i want to block access to internet to an ip or subnet
only between 9 and 12 p.m and be free the rest of the day, i was viewin the web interface for EnGarde for some type of
scheduler but i didn't find anything, can someone give some suggestions about how to do this???

thanks

hi

There is currently nothing like this in the WebTool but if you feel this feature would be
helpful please create a bug report at bugs.engardelinux.org.

One way to do this is writing two scripts with rules for the different firewall rules and put
two entries in crontab for the you want the two scripts to run. However there must be some
software that can easy do this for us. I will take a quick look and let you know if I find
any Linux software like this.
