Hello every one,
I have 3 computers. I would like one to be a server and to have a printer connected to it so the other two can access it. I also would like the other computers to be able to use the hard disk on the server as storage/backup for users.

both computers are running Zenwalk linux, server has empty hard drive.
I have a dsl connection with dsl router, westell 327, dchp setup on router all computers share this and can access internet.

is Engarde software a good choice for this endeavor? I do NOT have much network experience.

Thanks in advance...

Side note, your registration confirmation number is very hard to read for us color blind people, had to get someone to read it to me

Hi,

I cannot answer your I.P. question but maybe "samba" might be some use to you for the other things?

EnGarde has made a fine network server for me for a number of years.
