New Install - Unable to access Firewall Configuration

Postby Brent on Thu Oct 23, 2008 10:12 am

Hello

I have just installed engarde for use as a web server.

Everything is working fine, however I cannot access the Firewall Configuration option in the webtool.

It gives me a blank page with the following error:

Error - Missing Content-Type Header

Can't exec "/etc/init.d/shorewall": No such file or directory at /usr/webtool/modules/services/services.pm line 295.
Can't find label done at /usr/webtool/modules/services/services.pm line 295.

I have checked the init.d directory and sure enough, no shorewall there.

I have made no manual modifications to the server and only enabled WWW FTP and SSH.

Is there a way for me to restore this file? Or is this a sign of a bigger problem?

Thanks
Brent

hi

Is shorewall installed?

Code: Select all
#newrole -r sysadm_r
# rpm -q shorewall
#apt-get install shorewall

Such a simple answer! Didnt even need to go to the shell, just installed it via the webtool. Engarde is easiest server distro I have ever used.

Thanks
