Yes, should be fine as far as amavisd is concerned.

Don't know about mailzu, but the SQL table msgs contains
a field msgs.host, which provides the $myhostname setting
of the submitting amavisd, so in principle the release request
could be sent to the amavisd on a host which quarantined
the message.
Alternatively, if the quarantine is common to all running
amavisd instances (e.g. a SQL quarantine in a common database,
or perhaps a NFS-accessible quarantine directory), then
any amavisd should be able to perform a release.
