Secunia Research has discovered a vulnerability in Apple Quicktime which can be exploited by malicious people to potentially compromise a user's system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error when parsing packed scanlines from a PixData structure in a PICT file and can be exploited to cause a heap-based buffer overflow via e.g. viewing a specially crafted image file.
Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.
Update to QuickTime 7.5.
