[Clamav-users] ExcludePath, defining absolute path

Hi users,

Just a quick up-date for future reference on the above topic.

Due to the organisational issues of OSX, including '^/Volumes' in the 'ExcludePath' variable disables all other attempts to scan other partitions, volumes and images that are contained within /Volumes.

A work-around I wanted to throw into the ring was an option in clamdscan, '--config-file' , and in clamscan '--include-dir'.

Regarding clamdscan, would I require a duplicate configfile,  altered to accommodate a different ExcludePath setup and would it over-ride the entire default config-file whilst clamd is running in daemon mode or is it only alive for that particular clamdscan session.

If one goes the clamscan route, does it pickup the default config-file or do I have to declare all the options or just the ones that I want to over-ride.

Thanks in advance.

A.
