And I presume that you DID create and ssh2 key identity and you DID add it to the .ssh/authorized_keys2 file? I won't use your old identity or ssh1 key and it won't used .ssh/authorized_keys.
Seems like there was also some name changes for the ssh2 files (was identity2, then became id_dsa and id_rsa in later flavors). I don't think I saw an upgrade to the 2.9.x flavors of OpenSSH in EnGard yet.
What client are you using?
What happens when you run "ssh -v" or "ssh -vv" (verbose and very verbose).
